Meeting Minutes
Monday, April 14th, 2025 @ 7:00pm
Emsdale Community Centre
Attendance: Brent Stapleton, Terry English, Bob Harrison, Kevin Ryan, Amanda Traves, Fraser Bull, BillBird, Kyle Ryan, Richard Zdrilu
Regrets: Garry Fraser

- Welcome: Kevin Ryan opened the meeting at 7:03pm
- Approval of Agenda: Approved by Bob Harrison and Fraser Bull. All in Favor.
- Approval Previous Minutes: Approved by Bob Harrison and Brent Stapleton. All in Favor.
- Business arising from Previous Minutes: Bob has not been in touch with Frank Heron regarding land use. Bob has been received a digital Map to work with the town. Kevin has not reached out to Trillium Off Road Recovery, he will do. Tickets for the ATV raffle are now available and on sale.
- Financials: Approved by Brent Stapleton and Bill Bird. All in Favor.
- Membership: 73 Family members (220 ATVs) and 198 Individual memberships
- Trails: Lots of snow on trails. Talked to Mark Reynolds, he is available to do trail work. One Snowmobile bridge is missing some boards and will need to be taken care of. Bob was talking to the town and the land use permits will be collected by the town on our behalf. Fraser Bull was talking to Rob Rickward regarding a trail from Trail 29 through to Kalio Rd. The snowmobile club is asking for our support with getting this trail opened again with the Town. Everyone in Favor of supporting the reopening of the trail from Trail 29 to Kalio Rd.
- Bylaws: Brent has talked to John Mesik who can bring us up to Compliance with our Bylaws. Bob Harrison Motioned to have us brought up to Compliance and we can make changes later if needed. 2nd by Susan Fetterley. All in Favor.
- Spring Poker Ride: There is a lot of snow on the trails. We are able to rent a skidster for $2700 for the week plus the cost of an operator if needed. If cancelling the ride Edgewater would like to know tonight before 11pm. Bob Suggested we run the ride this year and look into moving the Spring Poker Ride to the first week in May.
- Monday, April 21st Meet at Edgewater Park Lodge to do Rally Route Clean Up.
- Thursday, April 24th – 9 am – Meet at Edgewater to do rally route put up arrows. 6pm – Meet at Edgewater to put tent up and go over last minute details
- Kevin and Brent will bring tables to Edgewater
- Bill Bird to grab parking signs and install and pick up at the end of day
- Friday, April 25th – Brent and Garry to get food for canteen and load trailer, as well as tent heaters.
- Small Group to check trailers
- Fraser to meet Call of the Wild to deliver Outhouses
- Saturday, April 26th – All Directors and helpers on deck. Meet at tent for 6:30am.
- Bob, Bill Fraser to do parking (Please wear Vests). One at field and one at each entrance to Edgewater.
- Amanda and Susan and helpers for registration.
- Bill Bird to Ride and take pictures
- Garry to Sell Raffle tickets for ATV
- All directors in tent to help and sell tickes and merchandise
- All Directors on trail, please wear a vest and be an ambassador.
- Fraser to do sweep.
- Kevin to take care of Poker Hands
- Kyle to pull canteen trailer to Kents Mill
- Terry to ride club bike, take pictures and assist those in need of help.
- Email to be sent out to all registered with trail conditions and Waiver.
- At the end of day, tent is staying up and the tables are going into trailer to take back.
- AGM: Sunday, May 4th at 10am at the Emsdale Community Centre in Room 2

Everyone to review before next meeting Monday, May 12th
- Other Business: Do we want a table at the Legions Car Show on July 26th, 10am-3pm? And do we want a table at the Kearney Regatta on August 2nd and 3rd ? too sell tickets for the ATV Raffle. To discuss next meeting.
