Meeting Minutes
Monday, September 8th, 2025 @ 7:00pm
Emsdale Community Centre
Attendance: Richard Zdriluk, Amanda Traves, Kyle Ryan, Fraser Bull, Brent Stapleton, Brenda Cameron, Terry English, Bob Harrison, Susan Fetterley
Regrets: Kevin Ryan, Garry Fraser, Bill Bird
1. Welcome: Brent opened meeting at 7:03am
2. Approval of Agenda: Agenda Approved by Bob Harrison and seconded by Fraser Bull – All in Favor
3. Approval Previous Minutes: Minutes approved by Kyle Ryan and seconded by Richard Zdriluk- All in Favor
4. Business arising from Previous Minutes: Mark has completed repairs to trail at Moose Valley Through too Echo Ridge Road. Brent and Kevin have been out and checked Trail 30 with the Beaver Dam. Beaver has moved on and the water level has come down. New Lap Top has not been taken care of at this time.
5. Membership: 188 Individual and 53 Family with 159 ORV – Up from last year $19,731.15 – Pricing increased $25 per membership and $50 for Family
6. Financials: Attached – Approved by Amanda Traves and seconded by Fraser Bull.
7. Trails:
- Trail 36 – Loggers are moving in within a couple weeks to start building road. The most likely will not make it to the washouts this year. Bridges on Kents Mill Road need to be inspected for Logging to continue. Trail 42 has not been inspected at this time. ADSC is working with us to have the culvert replaced. We have been asked to pull the culvert out to put in place. Snowmobile club will have an excavator go in to do repairs Washout by Camp of Many Colors still needs to be taken care of. ADSC will not be using this portion of trail but using trail 38.
- Trail 31 – Mark will be going out prior to the Rally to clean up
- Willy Lake Hill needs repairs – steep rock washout
- Trail 38 – Bad spots which need attention
- Saturday, September 13th – ADSC has asked to have the culvert pulled back onto the trail Meet at the Branch’s Camp in Trail 36 at 9:00am. Kyle will grab the club ranger. Available to help – Ken Branch, Kyle Ryan, Richard Zdriluk, Bob Harrison
- Sunday, September 14th – Bridges to Repair – Meet at Boat Ramp Road at 9:30am – Bring Shovel and Hammer
8. Fall Rally: Sold Out – Saturday, September 20th – Clean Trails and put up Arrows – All Hands-on-Deck – Meet at the Kearney Legion at 9:00am.
- Saturday, September 27th – Fall Rally – Meet at the Legion to set up at 6:30am
- Brenda and Frank will sell the ATV Raffle tickets
- Ken and Terry will do the sweep
- Everyone to collect Raffle Prizes
- All Raffle tickets – sold or unsold, need to be returned prior to the rally
- Brent will need help the week prior to the Rally to get everything ready – Let him know if you are available
- Susan to order an Outhouse for Canteen – Fraser will meet driver and take him to location
11. ATV Raffle Ticket Sales: Currently $2,720 of Tickets Sold
11. Other Business: Brent received a letter from the Town of Kearney regarding Sand Lake Property Owners Association approaching the Town regarding the speed of ATVs on Hwy 518E.
- The Kearney Fire Department will be having an ATV Wash at the Legion on the day of the Rally. Money raised will be donated to the Hospice. Brent motioned that a $500 Donation be made to the cause. Seconded by Fraser Bull and All in Favor.
- Kearney Ski Show Donation to be discussed at the next meeting.
